In the autumn of 2004, Didcot Casuals FC was proud to be awarded FA Charter Standard Club
status by the Football Association.
|
What
does this mean? |
 |
• The Club has a written constitution covering areas such as discipline,
child protection, meetings, management, membership, equity, etc. • We follow the FA’s child protection policy, procedures and
practices. • We have a designated Child Protection Officer (ours is Robert Roslyn). • We follow FA procedures and good practice in
recruiting volunteers. • Managers/coaches have attended official FA coaching training. • All managers/coaches, volunteers, etc,
undergo CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks • We have codes of conduct for managers/coaches, players and parents.
For more
details on any of the above or on the FA Charter Standard scheme in general, please contact the
Development Manager or visit the FA Charter Standard webpage |
What Next? The award is renewable after three years, so we will
be working to ensure that we continue to meet all the criteria for this level. We will also be looking to build on this in order to
achieve the next level and then ultimately the final level available under this scheme. These two levels are:
Charter Standard
Development Club, where we meet many of the standards already and need to begin some new initiatives to help the club grow.
Charter Standard Community Club, where the club would work within the community of Didcot, forging links with local schools, local clubs
(e.g. Didcot Town), and other organizations.
This is going to take time and effort, but will be well worth it (for club, players,
supporters and the community) and we would like to hear from anyone within the club who would like to help us achieve these aims. If you
have something to offer, please contact the Development Manager |
