From the summer of 2006 we are running a "Rising Stars" section, for boys and girls up to the age of 6 years where they can come along to learn about football in a friendly and fun atmosphere. The children will be taught basic footballing skills as well as life skills such as cooperation, helpfulness and teamwork in a pressure-free environment. Parents are actively encouraged to support their children both during the sessions and at other times by practising with them. As the children progress through the age groups, we will begin with friendly matches against like minded clubs in the area from the age of under 7s. We will continue playing friendly matches up to under 8s and then we progress to competitive games from under 9s. All of these games are played under the umbrella of the Oxford Mail Boys League, and soon the Oxford Mail Girls League.
Training Sessions
Training takes place on Saturday mornings from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Each session will end with a small match or a penalty shootout to test the skills learnt in training. The cost of training is £1.00 per session.
